Swimming should be taught at an early age

Re: Warning signs go up on area beaches (PM Friday, 16 January 2015) – Sure everyone should be able to swim and it should be taught at an early age. As Pattaya has no public swimming pools and the safest way to learn is in a supervised pool, why doesn’t Rotary put pressure on the hotels to make their pools available to schools on a roster system? The beach isn’t the safest environment to learn initially. With so many pools available, each hotel would be lucky to be used once a month. It would be a win – win situation. The kids learn to swim and the hotels get great public relations.
