Thai Iced Tea ranks 9th globally in TasteAtlas’ list of best non-alcoholic beverages, showcasing the worldwide appeal of Thailand’s signature drink.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Thai Iced Tea has secured the 9th spot among the world’s most popular non-alcoholic drinks, according to a global ranking released by TasteAtlas.

The announcement, published on April 22, highlights the growing international popularity of Thailand’s iconic orange-hued beverage, known locally as “cha yen” or iced milk tea.

Thai iced tea is made from strongly brewed black tea combined with sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and often evaporated or fresh milk, giving it its signature creamy texture and vibrant color. Some variations may include added spices, and it can be served either hot or cold. Beyond beverages, its distinctive flavor has also become popular in desserts, including ice creams, shaved ice, and bakery items.
