PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya authorities are maintaining security and ensuring a peaceful atmosphere across the city’s tourist areas after social media discussions sparked attention over reports that an Italian student exchange group may visit Koh Larn. The group recently became the subject of online criticism after a video showing foreign students behaving loudly on Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain circulated widely. The incident led to public discussion, with information about the students’ Thailand itinerary spreading online.
Following reports that the group could travel to Koh Larn, officials checked the situation at Bali Hai Pier, Pattaya’s main departure point for boats to the island. The area remained calm, with no crowds gathering or signs of confrontation. Pattaya City Police officers continued normal security operations, monitoring the area and ensuring safety for residents and visitors. Police said commanders were aware of the online discussion and had instructed officers to remain alert, maintain public order and respond to any unusual situations if needed. Pattaya officials stressed that the city welcomes visitors from around the world while ensuring that tourist destinations remain safe, orderly and enjoyable for everyone.
