New picturesque pier inaugurated on Koh Loy Island Sriracha

Former Minister Sonthaya Kunplome Mayor Chatchai Timkrajang, Chonburi Dep. Gov. Thitilak Khampha, PAO Chairman, Witthaya Kunplome and members of the Sriracha Municipal Council presided over the inauguration of the news tourist pier at Koh Loy in Sriracha.

The Floating Bridge at Koh Loy in Sriracha Municipality was officially opened on June 12, marking a significant achievement in the area’s tourism development. The inauguration ceremony, led by former Minister of Culture Sonthaya Kunplome, featured various performances, water sports activities, and power boat shows.



Dignitaries, including Mayor Chatchai Timkrajang, Deputy Governor Thitilak Khampha, Chonburi Provincial Administration Office Chairman, Witthaya Kunplome and members of the Sriracha Municipal Council, joined enthusiastic local residents to witness the unveiling of this iconic landmark. The Floating Bridge, which was funded by different sources, is an engineering marvel, spanning an impressive total length of 480.20 meters and divided into three sections.



Section 1 spanning 152 meters, was constructed with a budget of 86,516,000 baht allocated by the Sriracha Municipality for the fiscal year 2022. Section 2 measures 127.20 meters and required a budget of 71,316,500 baht from the fiscal year 2023, funded by Chonburi Province. Finally, Section 3, a 158-meter stretch, received financial support of 86,029,600 baht from the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) development project.

The completion of the project reflects Sriracha’s ambition to become an internationally recognized tourist destination. The Floating Bridge with its mesmerizing viewpoints over the sea, aims to attract domestic and international tourists seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.

Mayor Chatchai extended a warm invitation to the public to visit the Floating Bridge and enjoy enchanting panoramic views during the day and evening.

Nestled merely 500 meters away from the Sriracha coastline, Koh Loy is a captivating island renowned for its ferry pier to Koh-Sichang Island. This picturesque destination is also adorned with multiple attractions, adding to its allure. Among them is the remarkable Wat Koh Loy Sri Maharacha Temple, perched atop a hillock offering breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, particularly during sunset.



Visitors are advised to exercise caution, particularly concerning the safety of young children and the elderly. Close supervision is necessary, and care should be taken to avoid dropping valuable items into the water while walking or taking photographs.
