PHUKET, Thailand — Support for 16-year-old Phuket singer Nene Royal continued to grow as Thai and international fans packed a farewell concert in Phuket before she heads to the United States for the final round of America’s Got Talent.

Nene Royal, whose real name is Rattikan Aml-oy, performed with the Ozone band at the Tai Rod Naka Market in Phuket on Friday night, drawing a large crowd despite intermittent rain.

Fans began gathering in front of the stage early in the evening, with many carrying umbrellas and raincoats as they waited to see the young singer who captured international attention after receiving a Golden Buzzer from Mel B on America’s Got Talent for her performance of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun.”

The rain did little to dampen the atmosphere, with fans remaining in place throughout the evening to show their support before Nene’s return to the US. Before Nene and the Ozone band took the stage at about 9pm, young musicians from Phuket performed a series of solo and group sets. The youth bands regularly perform at the market on weekends and helped build the atmosphere ahead of the main concert.

Among those attending was actress and television personality Boom Panadda Wongphudee, who travelled to Phuket to meet Nene and show her support before the singer’s departure for the United States. When Nene and Ozone finally took the stage, they were greeted by loud cheers from the crowd. The performance featured live instruments, guitar solos and a lively set that kept fans singing and dancing throughout the night. Panadda was also seen joining the crowd and dancing during the performance, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

At the end of the concert, Nene told fans that she would fly back to the United States on September 15 ahead of her final America’s Got Talent performance. She said she would give her best and would not disappoint those supporting her, while asking fans to continue sending encouragement and, particularly, asking Thai people in the United States to support and vote for her.

The final round will be held on September 22 in the United States, corresponding to September 23 in Thailand. Nene said voting will play a decisive role in determining the winner. Nene has been training intensively every day for the final and said her goal is clear — to win the America’s Got Talent 2026 title. With growing support at home in Phuket and attention from fans beyond Thailand, the young singer now prepares to take the stage in America once again, carrying the hopes of her supporters with her.
