BANGKOK, 6 July 2012 -Kittirat Na Ranong, Minister of Finance delivered his speech in the 3rd Asian Development Forum “ODA & Green Growth in Asia” conference at Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok.
Finance Minister Khun Kittirat yesterday delivered his speech following the opening ceremony of Asian Development Forum “ODA & Green Growth in Asia” conference led by Dr. Somchai Sujjapongse, Fiscal Policy Office Director General.
The conference was co-hosted by the Fiscal Policy Office, the Public Debt Management Office, and the Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) or (NEDA), held at Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok.
It is the third Asian Development Forum after the first and the second in Seoul and Tokyo respectively. The agenda of the meeting were on Official Development Assistance or ODA for the government, private sectors, and international organizations.
There were discussions and information exchange among the Asian members regarding roles of each member and the approach of the ODA to environmentally friendly economic development in line with the Green Growth Economy, given the smaller contributions from developing countries and increasing funds from the private sectors as well as investors’ intersest in environmentally friendly businesses.
