The Commerce Ministry launched Herban Era Move in Bangkok, promoting Thai herbal products through fitness activities and wellness experiences while creating new opportunities for local SMEs and entrepreneurs.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Commerce is promoting Thai herbal products as part of modern urban lifestyles through Herban Era Move, a wellness event aimed at increasing consumer awareness and expanding market opportunities for Thai SMEs. Department of Business Development (DBD) Director-General Sathaporn Ruamnapaya presided over the Herban Era Move aerobics event at Polo Football Park in Bangkok on August 1. Co-organized with the Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP), the initiative aims to integrate Thai herbs into urban lifestyles and strengthen their presence in the global wellness market.

The event included a special aerobic session led by health and fitness influencer Thanchanok “Bebe” Ritnaka, encouraging participants to incorporate Thai herbal products into their daily routines. Attendees could sample herbal products from local entrepreneurs, including massage oils, pain-relief gels, herbal compresses, and health beverages, all designed to support post-workout recovery and relaxation. According to the DBD, updating Thai herbal products to match the growing wellness trend is essential for expanding the consumer base and creating new opportunities for local SMEs.

By connecting traditional knowledge with modern lifestyles, the campaign aims to build consumer trust and enhance the competitiveness of Thai herbal brands in domestic and international markets.

Following the success of this event, the DBD will host the “Herban Era Fest” to further promote and sell Thai herbal products directly to consumers. The festivals are scheduled for August 7–9, at Central Chaengwattana, and August 21–23, at Robinson Lifestyle Ratchaphruek in Nonthaburi. (NNT)
