Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Phancharoenworakul inspects sports facilities in Amnat Charoen as part of efforts to strengthen tourism, community health and the local economy

AMNAT CHAROEN, Thailand – Minister of Tourism and Sports Surasak Phancharoenworakul visited Amnat Charoen province on August 2, 2026, to inspect local tourist attractions and sports facilities, with the aim of boosting the regional economy and enhancing public well-being. At Amnat Charoen Provincial City Hall, the Minister was welcomed by Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Suksomrauy Wantaneeyakul, Governor Senee Somkeavwan, deputy governors, local officials, lawmakers, and sports representatives. Local authorities briefed the delegation on the province’s key data, current tourism and sports initiatives, and future development plans.



​After the briefing, the delegation inspected a 1,000-seat gymnasium with a swimming pool and the Amnat Charoen Provincial Central Stadium. The Minister received updates on operational challenges and proposed upgrades for these venues, which are vital for youth athletics, sports competitions, and community exercise. The visit also addressed preparations to ensure tourism attractions and sports infrastructure can accommodate visitors and events of various scales. These developments are expected to generate local income, stimulate economic activity, promote physical well-being, and enhance residents’ quality of life.
