BANGKOK, Thailand – Srinakharinwirot University and the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) have jointly organized a student exchange program to promote mutual understanding and cultural ties between Thailand and Vietnam. The program, “The Short Intensive Thai Language Training Program for Vietnamese Students 2026,” has been held for more than 30 years, welcoming more than 1,000 participants from the two countries.
During the one-month program, Vietnamese students study Thai on campus. Khun Chang Khun Phaen, one of Thailand’s best-known literary works, is used as a core teaching resource to help students develop a deeper understanding of the Thai language. Participants have been scheduled to take part in field trips experiencing Thai culture firsthand, visiting sites including the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, and the historical city of Ayutthaya.
