Pattaya municipal officers ask tourists to remove tents from Jomtien Beach after explaining the city’s no-overnight camping rules.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City officials reminded visitors that overnight camping is not permitted on Jomtien Beach after finding tourists setting up tents along the beachfront. Municipal enforcement officers from the Jomtien area carried out routine inspections on July 30 and discovered several visitors preparing to spend the night in tents on the public beach. Officers spoke with the tourists and explained Pattaya City’s regulations governing the use of public spaces, including the prohibition on overnight camping along Jomtien Beach.

The visitors understood the rules and cooperated by dismantling their tents and leaving the area without incident. City officials said the inspections are part of ongoing efforts to keep public beaches safe, orderly, and accessible for everyone.
