PATTAYA, Thailand – Tourist Police officers stepped in to help an 87-year-old New Zealand visitor who became stranded at a massage shop in Pattaya and was unable to find his way back to his accommodation. At around 1:40 p.m. on July 16, patrol officers from Tourist Police Station 4, Division 2, together with Tourist Assistance Center (TAC) staff, responded to assist the elderly tourist after he was found unable to continue his journey alone.

The visitor had become confused and could not remember the location of his accommodation. Officers helped communicate with him through a translator, provided assistance, and arranged safe transportation to his new place of stay. Tourist Police said the operation reflected their role in supporting visitors throughout their stay in Thailand, particularly elderly travellers who may require additional assistance. Authorities reminded tourists that the Tourist Police hotline 1155 is available 24 hours a day for emergencies, assistance, and travel-related support.
