
BANGKOK, Thailand – Members of the public gathered at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital on June 13, in advance of the procession for the royal remains of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra. By 2 p.m., people were steadily gathering along the route from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital to Phiman Rattaya Throne Hall in the Grand Palace to await His Majesty the King, members of the Royal Family, and to pay their respects during the procession.
Most attendees along the route were dressed in black. The atmosphere was solemn as people expressed their remembrance of Her Royal Highness’s grace and service. The Bureau of the Royal Household scheduled the procession for Saturday, June 13. A live broadcast by the Television Pool of Thailand was scheduled to begin at 3:45 p.m.
The procession was scheduled to depart from Gate 15 of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, follow Henri Dunant Road, turn right onto Rama IV Road, then right onto Phaya Thai Road, and left at Si Ayutthaya Intersection onto Si Ayutthaya Road. It would continue along Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue, Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue, and Ratchadamnoen Nai Avenue, passing Sanam Luang before entering the Grand Palace through Wiset Chai Si Gate.
