AMNAT CHAROEN, Thailand – Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Suksomrauy Wantaneeyakul launched the “AMNATCHAROEN MOVE” healthcare expo to elevate specialized rural medicine and networked medical services in local communities. The public health summit, chaired by the minister, was attended by Amnat Charoen Governor Senee Somkeavwan, senior medical executives, private-sector allies, and health volunteers. The Amnat Charoen Provincial Administration organized the expo in partnership with Amnat Charoen Hospital and regional community clinic networks.
The primary objective of the initiative is to reduce rural health disparities by expanding public access to advanced medical specialties closer to home. Amnat Charoen Province implemented the central government’s “One Region, One Province, One Hospital” framework alongside the Standard Academy Premium (SAP) hospital developmental guidelines. This model integrates primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare tiers into a unified digital and clinical network. It alleviates overcrowding at major tertiary institutions, reduces patient wait times, and decentralizes critical medical services. Recent milestones in this regional integration include deploying specialized mobile surgical and clinical teams to remote community hospitals. These teams provide targeted services, including gynecological surgeries, treatments for chronic kidney disease, and specialized psychiatric care.
The province has also achieved continuous field rotations across core medical disciplines—including internal medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and family medicine. These rotations are paired with targeted preventive campaigns such as comprehensive cancer screenings, cardiac and ophthalmology clinics, pediatric developmental tracking, lifestyle medicine consultations, and geriatric dementia screenings to support an aging society.
