Narucha Kosacivilize has directed provincial and district offices across Thailand to accelerate implementation of government cost-reduction programs, strengthen local economic data systems, and prepare for upcoming welfare and co-payment schemes.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Department of Provincial Administration (DOPA) has issued urgent instructions to provincial and district officials nationwide to accelerate measures to reduce living costs and support the grassroots economy.

Director-General Narucha Kosacivilize ordered provincial chief administrative officers to coordinate with district chiefs to ensure the rapid implementation of government policies. The directive aligns with nationwide efforts to improve living standards, elevate public confidence, and support local economic activity.

Under the order, each district is required to assign a dedicated officer to oversee implementation, monitor progress, and coordinate with relevant agencies. Authorities are also tasked with compiling and updating local commercial data, including mobile vendors, fresh markets, community shops, and registered local products.

Districts must also prepare to support upcoming government programs such as the Half-Half Co-Payment Plus scheme, the Thais Help Thais program, and the State Welfare Card program. Coordination with local agencies is required to ensure readiness and a smooth rollout. Officials at all levels have been instructed to prioritize these actions and promptly report any obstacles. (NNT)
