PATTAYA, Thailand – Rescue officers received a report of a foreigner being stabbed inside a condominium on South Pattaya’s Third Road area, at around 7:30 a.m. on November 1. Police from Pattaya City Station and rescue personnel quickly arrived at the scene.
They found the injured man, identified as Mr. Maksym Mozghovyi, 37, a Ukrainian national, who had been stabbed twice in the left rib area. Rescuers provided first aid before rushing him to a nearby hospital.
Police later detained the suspect in room number 204 on the second floor of the same condominium. The suspect, identified as Mr. Stephen Pulido, 38, a Filipino transgender woman, was reportedly in shock and crying when officers arrived.
According to a Thai transgender witness, the incident began with an argument after the Ukrainian man allegedly sprayed mosquito repellent on the Filipino woman’s body, provoking anger. A scuffle ensued, during which the Filipino grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the Ukrainian in the ribs. The injured man then fled downstairs seeking help.
Nattapong, 28, a street vendor who assisted the victim, said that while he was selling goods nearby, a foreign man ran toward him, bleeding and asking for help. Unable to communicate clearly, he quickly realized the man was injured and called the police for assistance.
Police have sent the injured Ukrainian to hospital for treatment and will allow him to file a complaint once recovered. The Filipino suspect remains in custody pending further investigation and legal action.
