The youngest children at Garden International School (GIS) are enjoying a whole range of new play equipment.

As part of the school’s first stage of its playground redevelopment, a new castle, bike path and rocket have arrived.

Head of Foundation, Ms Jane Vincent said, “When designing the playground we were interested not only in giving the children a broader range of gross motor play opportunities but also in giving them the chance to use their imaginations, inspired by the equipment in the playground.

At the moment in the top playground we have two large pieces of equipment: a castle and a rocket. There is a 65-metre bike path which goes all the way around the playground, giving the children ample opportunity to enjoy and interact with their friends, stopping at the car parks to extend their play as they choose.

“We are still in the process of including other opportunities for play such as rowing boats and tunnels on the bike path in this top playground. There is also new astroturf inside the bike track and under the new equipment.”

GIS is based in Ban Chang, near Pattaya.

The first stage of redevelopment in Foundation has gone well.

New climbing equipment is proving popular.

Foundation students at GIS love the new slides!
