More than 100 Public Health and Environment Department
workers, along with Navy personnel and private citizens swept through South
Pattaya May 31, picking up trash, cutting back brush and sweeping roads.
The monthly deep clean this time covered sois Batman,
Sukhumvit 46, Tawan Namkhaent Lhod and Bongkot.
“This was part of a continuous monthly effort through
which Pattaya wishes to create awareness amongst citizens to help keep the
city clean, and to create cooperation between the private and public sector
to keep Pattaya clean as it should be. In addition, this is an expression of
loyalty to Their Majesties the King and Queen,” said sanitation worker Sunya
Thupthimsri.
Sunya also said that anyone wanting the help of the
Public Health and Environment Department, which includes garbage cleanup and
rental of portable toilets, can ask at the Sanitation Office, 4th floor in
Pattaya City Hall, or call Pattaya Call Center at 1337.
