The “Friends in Need (of “PA”) Volunteers Foundation” led
by Supanee Wangteerapong, CSR team leader of Amari Orchid Pattaya
(5th right) met with officers of the Royal Thai Navy at U-Tapao airport to
donate needed items to be delivered to people affected by the heavy floods.
The Amari Watergate Bangkok held 2 charity events
recently, one was the ‘14th Amari Watergate & BMW Thailand Midnight Run’ and
the second was the ‘The 15th Aerobic Marathon for AIDS’. The combined events
raised 2.6 million baht. Pierre Andre Pelletier, general manager of the
Amari Watergate Bangkok presented a cheque of 1.3 million baht to HRH
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhon to support the Chalerm Prakiat School in
Lumpoon Province while the other 1.3 million baht was donated to Baan Gerda
Project in Lopburi province which supports an orphanage for HIV infected
children.
Amporn Saengkaew, president of the Pattaya Press Club
along with members of the Pattaya press visited the children of the Rangsit
Babies Home who are housed at the Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri
Sirindhorn Vocational School due to flooding in their home. The kids were
treated to a tasty lunch whilst the adults donated a washing machine and
other necessary items for their use to their caretaker Phinya Jumroonsan.

To help Thais affected by floods, Aqua Innotech
(Thailand) Co., Ltd., sole distributor of Brita water filters from
Germany, led by Dr Manu Leenawong (2nd from right), managing director,
recently donated water filters worth 200,000 baht to the TV Channel 3 News
Family TV program for distribution to communities around Thailand. Sorayut
Suthasanajinda (3rd right), ‘Ruang Lao Chao Nee’ TV anchor, received the
donation on behalf of News Family TV. Also present at the donation ceremony
are (l-r) Suradet Darayen; Aqua Innotech (Thailand) Co., Ltd. general

As part of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT)
rehabilitation program after the recent flood crisis and in promoting the
country as one of the best places in Asia for travel and leisure, Panga
Vathanakul, managing director and Vathanai Vathanakul, vice president of the
Royal Cliff Hotels Group recently welcomed participants from
different newspapers and travel magazines from Guangzhou and Hainan, China.
The visitors were given a first-hand look to assure them that the situation
in the country is rapidly returning to normal.
