Chonburi donates flood aid, estimates relief costs

CPRD

Chonburi’s government has sent 2.55 million baht, 230 boats and 300,000 sandbags to flood-relief efforts in Nakhon Sawan.

Gov. Wichit Chatpaisit announces Chonburi’s plan to help flood-relief efforts in Nakhon Sawan.

Gov. Wichit Chatpaisit announced the donation following an Oct. 11 video-conference meeting with an unnamed official from the Interior Ministry.

The meeting covered a ministry request for Chonburi to estimate the costs of its entire flood-relief effort, including transportation, pumps, rescue boats and life jackets. Once the ministry gathers cost estimates from provinces nationwide, a special emergency aid budget will be requested.
