A Chonburi travel agent who borrowed 30,000 baht from loan sharks then missed payments complained to police that collectors stormed her office and stole her computer.

Kwandao Wingwon, owner of Nara Travel & Services Co., said as many as eight men swooped down on her Pathumtani office March 31 and stole company assets she needed to stay in business.

Kwandao admitted to police she’d borrowed 30,000 baht from illegal loan sharks and had to repay 600 baht a day for two months. She said she missed two payments and enforcers came to collect.

When she asked them to wait an hour, Kwandao told police, the thugs stole the computer she uses to make bookings and threatened her if she didn’t pay.
