Charity party sheds light on less fortunate

Another fun-filled night was hosted by the Lighthouse Club of Pattaya for this month’s charity networking event held at the Zulu Bar in the Centara Grand Mirage & Spa on Friday the 1st of April.

Their events seem to be going from strength to strength with again over three hundred people in attendance, from the real estate sector, corporations from the Eastern Seaboard, small local business owners and those who just wanted to attend a fun night out and do their bit to help the Melissa Cosgrove Children’s Foundation.

Heights Holding, a well established property developer, was one of the evening’s sponsors along with Centara. Guy Van Harten from Heights Holding made a huge impact on everybody by having masks of himself with his trademark thick rimmed glasses passed around the Zulu bar. The effect was that Guy was doing some serious networking and could be seen all over the room.

The staff of Centara kept everybody’s glasses topped up and the food was exceptional, especially the roast beef sandwiches.

As ever, many familiar faces were there and the ladies were looking stunning, posing for the photographers and many of them looking into the PMTV camera and stating how much they love PMTV.

There was also a charity raffle with a variety of prizes which was dealt with very efficiently by the MC Mark Rogers. And although the free drinks were meant to stop at 8:30 p.m. - Heights Holdings put more money in the kitty to allow the ‘networkers’ another 30 minutes of free drinking.

Actually the party continued on after 9 p.m. with discounted wine, beer and music from DJ Ferris B.

So another great night, new friends and over 100,000 baht raised for charity. You should come along to the next one, you don’t have to be a member or even in business. It will be held at the Marriott Resort and Spa on Friday the 6th of May and on the next day, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., the Lighthouse Club will hold their first ever family day at Pinnacle Resort & Spa. This promises to be another fun event, this time geared towards children, which in turn will help disadvantaged children in our community.
