It was a happy day for Bruce and Judy Hoppe as they were encircled by close friends who attended a dinner party to welcome their son Matt and his charming wife Heidi (front 1st & 2nd left) from Glen Elyn Illinois, on their visit to Pattaya recently. The informal get together was held at Alvi’s House of Culture who along with her staff cooked up a tasty selection of Thai and European cuisine.


 

Wasawadee Sanpradith (2nd left) of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Australia) led a group of journalists from the Australian Society of Travel Writers to the Dusit Thani Pattaya for a familiarization trip recently. On hand to welcome them were Oranuch Chantramala (far left), Dusit Club Manager, Thidsida Shingrissri (2nd right), Rooms Director and Vanjie Lauzon (far right), Marketing Communications Manager.


 

Nattawadee Wuthisawas, Assistant Director of Sales of the Montien Hotel, Pattaya welcomed agents & media from Belarus in cooperation with Discovery Holidays Co., Ltd. on their arrival for an educational and inspection trip of the Montien Hotel Pattaya recently.


Peter Henley (centre right), President & CEO of the Amari group, and David Cumming (centre left), GM of the Amari Orchid Hotel, presents a cheque for 264,487 baht to the ‘Baht for a better life’ charity project, which helps underprivileged children from around Thailand. The money was raised during the celebrations of HM the Queen’s birthday when the world’s longest cake at 77 meters was baked and sold to the public at the Central Center Pattaya.


On October 3 the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya held an interesting promotion called ‘The Rhythm of My Heart’ which was attended by 30 patients who had previously had pacemakers inserted. Attendees were given advice on nutrition, battery changing, electrical devices to avoid and other important information, which was given by Dr. Kitti Tirawanichkul from the cardiology department and Dr. Iain Corness, the international consultant.


La Baguette, the popular French bakery at the Woodlands Resort was the setting of the popular TV show ‘In Trend’ presented by the delightful Sara Legge (right) and aired nationally on TV Channel 5. Stephane Bringer (left), GM of the resort was on hand to ensure that the setting just right for the trendy film crew.
