The St. George’s Anglican / Episcopal congregation will be holding their Christmas Service at 11 am Christmas Day in the Sunday School room of the Pattaya Church which is located in Soi 1 of Pattaya 3rd Road (at the end of the soi turn left down small side road and the church is directly on the left hand side). On December 24 at 7 p.m. the children of the Sutthawas School will perform some Christmas carols at the Lobby of the Thai Garden Resort, North Pattaya Road in coordination with Toys for Joy. Straight after the show, Santa Claus will arrive on an elephant and bring presents to the children. Toys for Joy is a charity project, collecting goods and money for children in need. This year’s collection goes to the Sutthawas School which is in urgent need for donations. Everybody is invited to place donations under the Christmas tree at the Thai Garden Resort Lobby before Christmas or hand it over to Danilo (Operations Manager).

Clubs & Associations

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, December 21. The club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11 a.m., everyone welcome. Each week the PCEC has an interesting speaker to talk on various subjects of interest in an informal setting. As this is the Sunday before Christmas, children from the Pattaya Orphanage will be entertaining us with Christmas Carols. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community.
