MKim Fletcher Landlord of Jameson’s Irish Pub survived his 49th birthday celebrations at the pub recently. Peter Malhotra and Andrew Wood were amongst the hundreds of friends and well-wishers who stopped by to drink a pint to his good health.


Rudy Hofer, (right) Consul of Austria in Pattaya was guest speaker at the Rotary Club Of Taksin Pattaya. He spoke about his role in Pattaya and gave some good advice about what not to do if one found oneself on the wrong side of police cells. At left is Stephan Heynert, president of the Rotary club.


Pisit Ketphasook, governor of Chonburi, presents a plaque of appreciation to Suwanthep ‘Tony’ Malhotra, on behalf of the Pattaya Mail for our continuing support of the Pattaya Marathon ever since it’s the first run 12 years ago.


Justice Minister Suwat Liptapanlop presided over the ceremonies at the Ban Karuna recently whereby Bundit Atthakor, SVP, Office of General Counsel, and secretary of Ek-Chai Distribution Systems Co Ltd (Tesco Lotus) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to enforce the law forbidding the sale of tobacco and liquor to youth under 18 years of age.


The Royal Cliff Beach Resort by Panga Vathanakul (center standing), MD recently made a substantial donation to Father Banchong Chaiyara, Director of the Redemptorist Foundation (2nd from left). The money will be utilized by the Redemptorist Apostolate Foundation to renovate the girls’ hostel at the school. The Royal Cliff Beach Orphanage, the Elderly People’s Home, the Redemptorist Home for Street Children, the Redemptorist School for the Blind and other worthy projects under the patronage of St. Nicholas Church in Pattaya. Founded by the late Father Ray Brennan, the Redemptorist Apostolates provides a loving home, residential care and education for over 180 orphans, up to 100 street children, 220 deaf or blind children and 200 disabled youths.


On the occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday, the Amari Orchid Resort and Central Festival Shopping Center will bake the world’s longest carrot cake. The sale of which will raise funds for the “Baht For A Better Life Foundation” to help underprivileged children. The giant carrot cake will be sold in front of the Big C and at the Amari Orchid from August 12 to 15.
