Pattaya Motorcycle Club. Are you a motorcycle enthusiast who wants to meet, socialize and ride with other motorcycle enthusiasts, no matter what nationality you are and what motorcycle you ride? Got a wife or girlfriend who would like to join you for a ride rather than sit at home while you go “out with the boys?” Come along and meet other members of the Pattaya Motorcycle Club at the “Old Speckled Hen” pub, Jomtien Beach Road Soi 9, on any Friday at 8 p.m. With weekly rides to some of Chonburi and Rayong’s beautiful temples, lakes and beaches, and monthly 2 or 3-day trips to, well, anywhere we want! Shenanigans Pattaya now has a New A La Carte Menu, with many new items + all the usual weekly specials, including the Wednesday Steak special of a large bowl of home made soup, 400 gram t-bone steak, a mound of chips and salad served with homemade bread and butter all for 195 baht. What you see is what you pay at Shenanigans, no added tax or service. Shenanigans Irish Pub, Pattaya Second Road, in front of the Marriott Resort & Spa.

The Bay Restaurant in the Dusit Resort Pattaya Hotel, a fine dining experience, presents a variety of excellent white asparagus dishes between October 23 and November 5. In Europe, white asparagus is known as the queen of vegetables and because it is only harvested for a few weeks a year it makes it a rare delicacy on menus. Thanks to the efforts of the Royal Projects, asparagus can now also be harvested and grown in the north of Thailand. Feta Festival at Amor Restaurant. Richard and his team are having a feta cheese promotion during October, and there are lots on offer. Amor’s extensive menu and daily specials will of course still be on offer, as well as sinful home made desserts. Be sure to book your table at tel. 038 710 680. Amor is located between Soi Pattayaland 2 and 3.

The “old” Bruno’s Restaurant has “softly” re-opened at the new location on Thappraya Road, in front of the Chateau Dale Plaza and will officially re-open there on November 1. The beginning of a new era!

At Casa Pascal Restaurant everything is special. Not only Pascal’s design of the restaurant, but also the presentation of the dishes and drinks. Imported Tasmanian rock oysters and fresh white asparagus are now the best sellers at Casa Pascal. Khun Lamyai, a famous Thai name, has returned to Thailand from Jersey and has now opened her own restaurant and guesthouse called Yai’s House in Soi Thepprasit 10, opposite Hagone condo. She welcomes all to enjoy a wide variety of delicious food at reasonable prices, served every day from breakfast until late night supper.

Game is in season at the Paradise Restaurant. Hans Banziger and his team have returned from their holiday and are preparing a new food promotion. Items on the special game menu include deer fillet “hunter’s style”, venison steak, wild boar stew “Swiss style” and venison stew. But that is not all! Hans also offers a selection of game fish such as blue marlin steak “Mexican”, swordfish steak “Tahitian style” and “ahi” tuna steak “Japanese style”. Don’t miss it! And for those who look for something really different, the Paradise Restaurant is Pattaya’s first and only casual dining restaurant specializing in exotic food, including ostrich, kangaroo, emu, crocodile and deer, a dining experience you won’t regret or forget. The Raj, Pattaya’s newest Indian restaurant has membership cards available to all diners at no cost. Just bring your name card. This entitles you to a 10% discount on all food and drinks. On top of that, a special drawing is held every week for one bottle of wine with your meal.

Entertainment

With both Scotland and Wales playing on Saturday it looks like another great day in the Queen Victoria Inn (Soi Yodsak 6). With Draught Guinness at 160 baht a pint, Carlsberg at 100 baht per pint and once again a free curry it’s the place to be. On Sunday why not the full carvery at only 290 baht whilst watching England play and then to help clear that bad head join the Monday Club, with Guinness at 140 baht a pint, Carlsberg 100 baht per pint and free bar snacks, you’re sure to be back on your feet soon!

Art Classes at Art Cafe’s ‘Art Factory’ from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday afternoon. Art techniques include object coloring, pencil, water and pastel painting, engraving and others. Lessons will be given by Miss Beau, a talented Pattaya artist. All working materials as well as ‘high tea’ and refreshments are included for 280 baht per child, spoken languages are English and Thai. After class activities include fun and games at the poolside, in the big garden or at Wongamat Beach. Tequila Reef Cantina, Soi 7, is holding NFL American Football replay specials every Monday and Tuesday afternoons. During the replay of any weekend game they are offering frozen margaritas & daiquiris for 75 baht, local beers (bottled or draft) for 50 baht and beef or chicken tacos for 40 baht. What a weekend of live sport!
