Clubs

Skål Pattaya and East Thailand will host a Christmas Cruise aboard the fabulous Royal Cliff Catamaran, Thursday, December 5. Admiral Andrew J Wood and Commodore Hertz invite Skål members and their guests for pre-sailing drinks from 4 p.m. for a departure time of 4.30 p.m. sharp. The cost is 750 baht (inclusive of dinner, welcoming drink, service charges, taxes and the joy of sailing). A full bar will be available on board and a buffet dinner from approx. 5.30 p.m. Confirmation is required ASAP so as to facilitate deck spacing and all food arrangements. The Pattaya International Ladies Club will host a special Christmas Luncheon, their final luncheon for 2002, on Tuesday, December 3 from 10.30 a.m. till 2 p.m. at the Royal Cliff Grand Ballroom, Royal Cliff Beach Resort. Pattaya Animal Welfare Foundation (PAWS) - approved and registered charitable foundation of volunteers dedicated to providing humane and systematic population control over stray animals. Events

To celebrate the Birthday of His Majesty the King, the Amari Orchid Resort are presenting a Thai and Asian buffet, featuring dishes from around the country and the region. Throughout the evening performances of classical Thai dances and music and songs from the resident band. The evening begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 5. This year’s efforts by the Pattaya Gay Festival come to an end in early December, but still remaining are a beach party at Jomtien on November 29th, a gala dinner at Bruno’s Restaurant on November 30, a Walk for Life parade along Beach Road on December 1 (which is World Aids Day), and a final Street Party in Boyz Town on December 2. Planning will then start for the 2003 Festival.

The extraordinary Art Gallery JND, located in Soi Day and Night 2, 20/136-139, Moo 10, South Pattaya will celebrate its Grand Opening on December 7 at 4 p.m. There will be an exhibition of elected artwork created by artists from Phochang University of Art in Bangkok as well as ‘Digital Art’ by Axel Brand - a popular artist from Cologne/Germany. The Glyn Jenkins Memorial Trophy Golf Tournament, at Century Golf Course December 21. Exhibitions

Au Bon Coin is holding an art exhibition displaying the works of four local artists: Laemthong Promphan with oil painting impression styles; Chatchai Kaesornchareon, photographs; Jiang Chaejern with Chinese ink mono-prints and Bancha Kijemrej exhibiting literary and art productions of the "Thai elephant crisis". The exhibition runs until November 30. Au Bon Coin is located on Soi 5, off Pattaya Second Road.
