Clubs

The next PILC luncheon will be held on Tuesday September 4 in the Ballroom at the Royal Garden Hotel. The guest speaker will be K. Sinith, who will speak on ‘Rethinking Women and Development’, following which there will be a question and answer session after which lunch will be served. The UK Club of Pattaya will be hosting their next social event in the form of a Beach Barbeque on Sunday September 9 from 3 p.m. at the Hill Beach Resort (next to the Asia Hotel). All members and their families and guests are invited to attend. Members 200 baht – non-members 300 baht. The Orchid Cafe at the Kanary Bay Sriracha proudly presents a Vietnamese Food Festival from September 4 to 11. Sing A Song Karaoke is coming back! Now building! Soon to be open in a new location with twice as many songs and lots of other surprises. They also have a new partner and a new name: Super Star International Karaoke.

Events

The deciding Tri Nations Rugby Union Game between Australia & New Zealand will be broadcast live at Shenanigans Pattaya on Saturday 1st September at 4.00 p.m. Happy Hour will run from 4.00 p.m. - 7.30 p.m. Bar Snacks will be served free at half time.

Tahitian Queen 2 Rock ‘n Roll Bar (Soi BJ, South Pattaya) will be throwing a party for Steve’s 36th Birthday at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1st. Delicious food from the Warbler 2 will be served free of charge for all well wishers. There will be a special of 15 Kamikazes for a horn pull (750 baht) until midnight, and lucky numbers draws with special prizes all night. All welcome.

The Jesters Care for Kids Children’s Fair, now in its 4th year will be held at the Siam Bayshore Resort on Sunday, September 16th and will be followed by the Charity Pub Night at Shenanigans on Saturday 22nd September. Exhibitions

Euro Design Art Gallery, Thepprasit Road is continuing with their art exhibitions and from September 3 to October 19 features ‘Object of Time’ with paintings and mixed-media, including computer images by Somchai Pouangchin.

Sport

An action packed weekend for sports as the Pattaya Panthers will play the British Club at I.S.R at 2.00 p.m. Saturday before retiring to Shenanigans to watch the deciding Tri-Nations Rugby match. Anybody wishing to join the Panthers as a playing or social member should contact Chris Kays at I.S.R.

Formula One Grand Prix Qualifying will be shown at Shenanigans at 6 p.m. Saturday, and then the U.S. Open at 9.30 p.m. Sunday sees the motorcars take center stage with the Formula One Grand Prix at 7.00 p.m. followed by the U.S. Open at 9.30 p.m.
