20,000 meth tablets seized in Banglamung

Area police seized nearly 20,000 methamphetamine tablets destined for sale in Issan during a raid of a Banglamung apartment.
Pattaya, Chonburi and regional officers arrested Wannapong Thammachart, 23, of Rayong, and Prasertsit Hunsamer, 20, of Srakaew, in the April 28 operation on Soi Classic Inn. Police said both admitted they had obtained the drugs from a network operated by an inmate at Nong Plalai Prison.
Police said the drugs were being stockpiled before delivery to Khon Kaen.
Officers found 9,900 ya ba pills packages in 50-tablet bags and another 10,000 pills divvied up in packets of four tablets. Another 34 g. of crystal methamphetamines also were recovered.
The two were charged with possession with intent to distribute Class 1 narcotics.
