Pattaya School No. 8 celebrated its 36th anniversary with an open house,
giving parents and area residents a chance to see the programs and subjects the
school has planned for its pupils.
Principal Aaporn Ratchasingho welcomed guests to the Jan. 22 celebration, which
featured more than 30 booths covering educational development, preschool, art,
technology, mathematics, literature, English, Socio-education, religion,
culture, sports, tourism and health care.
Entertainment included both dance and singing contests, but the main focus was
on education, with exhibits on teaching activities, quality assurance,
uniqueness of educational institutions, the “sufficiency economy” project,
restoration of world morality, health care school, and a tourism knowledge
center.
Wetchasit Angkanaphatkhajorn, a lecturer of management learning at Burapha
University, also hosted a lecture criticizing educational system failures called
“Teach Less More.”
