A great evening

Editor;
Re: Reds come to town as Legacy of Legends tour lands in Pattaya (PM Friday, 14 June 2013) - A great evening. Well done Kevin Fisher, Joe, Paul and all the team. Nice story Paul and great photos
Rodney James Charman

Not all Thailand is “like Spain”

Editor;
Re: Pattaya turning into Spain (PM Mailbag Friday, 14 June 2013) - Pattaya may be “like Spain” but I do not think you can class the whole of Thailand the same. There are huge chunks of this great country where (thank god) the Farang has not been and destroyed.
Chris Spalding

Not here to look down on locals

Editor;
Re: You’re not above the locals (PM Mailbag Friday, 31 May 2013) - Good report and that counts for all countries we visit. We are guests there and not there to look down on the locals and try to adopt to our lifestyle or belief. I have been coming to Thailand since 1989 and enjoy the hospitality and way of life the Thais live. Doing so, it avoids trouble and getting ripped off. Treat people the way you want to be treated yourself and you will have a great experience.
Charles Manfred

Missed opportunity

Editor
Re: Police force jet ski scammers to return some of funds extorted from Indian pair (PM Friday, 14 June 2013) - What a missed opportunity! Make them hand back all the money and fine them the same amount they tried to extort. Tell all the other jet ski operators they will get the same treatment if they try it. End of problem overnight! But TIT (this is Thailand) and the dark forces and corrupt officials will never let it happen.
Michael Johnson

Let’s alter all our history books to suit this PC era

Editor;
Re: Someone should produce a new Bible (PM Mailbag Friday, 14 June 2013) - The bible has been around for thousands of years and now someone living in “Sin City” wants to change it. Although it is the most read book of the western world it is hard to believe that a person with an IQ above 89 would be taken in by it. What rational person would take for granted the events that are claimed? It is obvious that Americans revere their presidents as “God Like Figures” as they are quoted time and time again. I notice your supreme court will rule on gay marriage. Should not this be “same sex marriage? While we are about change, let’s alter all our history books to suit this PC era.
Aussie Bill

Ready for anything?

Editor;
Re: 2013 CARAT exercise sweeps through Sattahip (PM Friday, 14 June 2013) - Ready for anything? I think not. The red attachment on the barrel allows the weapon to fire blank rounds on automatic. One step up from yelling Bang Bang you’re dead. Anyone for paint balls?
Jimmy

Correction

Last week we published this photo with the Care for Kids story featured on page 21, and inadvertently captioned it, “Jimmy Page displays his guitar, which will be auctioned off at the Gala Party Night.” In fact, it was auctioned off at last year’s Gala Party Night. We regret and inconvenience this may have caused.
