Hilton Pattaya was awarded “Country winner for Best Hotel, Thailand” June 5
by the inaugural Asia Pacific Hotel Awards 2013-2014. Held in association
with Virgin Atlantic and Yamaha, the award is rated across various
categories for specific types and sizes of hotel such as best hotels, hotel
architecture, interior, construction and design. The awards were presented
at Shangri-la Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on May 10, and leading companies behind
these award-winning hotels and hospitality projects were invited to attend
and receive the prestigious awards. A total of 94 awards were given to 19
countries in the region for a variety of hotels, ranging from small to large
and general to specialty.

Part of the globally renowned International Hotel Awards, judging for the
Asia Pacific Hotel Awards was a meticulous process involving a panel of over
20 experts covering every aspect of the hospitality business. The awards
increasingly are seen as benchmarks for discerning travelers when deciding
their next holiday destination and hotel stay. Similar awards are also held
in Arabia & Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe and U.K.
Hilton Worldwide currently operates eight properties in Thailand including
Hilton Pattaya, Millennium Hilton Bangkok, Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa,
Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa, Conrad Bangkok, Conrad Koh Samui,
DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Phuket Surin Beach and the newly opened
DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok. The company will also open the
Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok in the third quarter of 2013.
