Gunman sprays Banglamung house with assault weapon fire

With a backdrop of bullet
holes in his neighbor’s house, Bryan Anderson (right) tells police what
he heard.
Boonlua Chatree
Police are investigating why an unknown gunman used an assault
rifle to spray at Nong Plalai rental home with bullets.
No one was injured in the March 5 incident. The house has been rented
for the past four months by clothes retailer Palmy Baryon, 31, and her
25-year-old Thai boyfriend.
Neighbor Bryan Anderson, 46, said he was watching television after
midnight with his girlfriend when he heard the shots and ducked to take
cover.
Police were informed the next day, and upon inspection were able to
collect one unfired bullet and 10 empty bullet casings from the scene.
Investigators said the shooting was not surprising as the house has been
a gathering spot for groups of young Thai men during the day. Police
still need to interview the renters and review CCTV footage to determine
the motive and shooters involved.
