City workers clean out the drains along Second
Road in North Pattaya.

Pattaya engineers were out again cleaning more drains to mitigate
flooding and odors on Second Road.
Ampol Saengsawang took nine workers, a water truck and vacuum truck to clean
all the drains along the entire length of Second Road Feb. 13 after
complaints about foul odors.
Workers sprayed water into the drains and along dirty sidewalks, sucking out
garbage, sand and other refuse. It’s hoped the drain remains clear to handle
the next rainstorm.
Ampol pointed out Second Road is an important thoroughfare and that the city
gives it priority in drain-cleaning exercises.
