Cambodian So Lee has been
remanded in custody for allegedly running a drug smuggling ring across
the border in Thailand.

Sattahip police arrested a Cambodian woman accused of running a ring
of Thai drug dealers throughout the area.
So Lee, 42, was apprehended Dec. 24 along with Sujinan Romsukh, 18;
Thaweepop Saraakhum, 18; Chawa Chonsri, 28; and Weerawat Malai, 19.
During the arrests, police seized a total of 445 methamphetamine
tablets, a half-gram of crystal meth and 4,900 baht.
Police say So set up shop in Thailand as a food vendor and accumulated
evidence needed for the drug sting from her alleged customers.
Police claim So confessed to the charges, as well as importing up to
4,000 ya ba pills at a time over the Srakaew border. She is suspected of
selling to Thai customers and Cambodian fishing crews in Samae San and
Bang Saray.
