Royal Garden Plaza kicked off Pattaya’s holiday celebration, again
lighting up the front of the mall with thousands of lights.
Pattaya City Councilman Banjong Banthoonprayuk flipped the switch on the
festive lighting Dec. 17, marking the city’s first major Christmas and
New Year’s display.
Decorations include an 8-meter-tall Christmas tree and “New Year 2013”
sign spanning more than 100 meters.
The mall celebrated the kickoff with a drum corps from the U.S. Navy and
a “happiness bear” handing out gifts to children. The mall also launched
a number of retail promotions.
Royal Garden Plaza & Entertainment Vice-President Somporn Naksuetrong
said the display is the mall’s way of giving back to customers during
the holiday season.
The mall’s “Gift of Joy” promotion runs through Jan. 15. Stores are also
giving out free stuffed bears with the purchase of 2,000 baht in goods.
