Couple arrested for theft of German hotel owner’s car

Sunisa Kerdnaikaew and Rungroj Osha (on knees) have been remanded to custody for stealing Michael Procher’s (right) BMW.

Theerarak Suthathiwong
Married employees of a German hotel owner have been arrested for allegedly stealing his BMW.
Rungroj Osha, 27, and his wife Sunisa Kerdnaikaew, 20, were apprehended Nov. 7 for allegedly taking the black 730li from Michael Procher, the owner of the Lake Mabprachan Resort.
Police said the couple was caught in Sakon Nakhorn after police traced telephone calls to one of their friends there. Rungroj, police determined, was already wanted on an arrest warrant in Huay Yai for allegedly robbing his previous employer.
Police said Rungroj confessed to the car theft, saying his wife was three months pregnant and needed a car for family transportation.
Procher said he hired the couple as cooks a couple days earlier, obviously without doing any type of background check. He said they seemed trustworthy and agreed when they offered to wash his sedan.
