Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul met with World Economic Forum Managing Director Maroun Kairouz, reaffirming Thailand’s commitment to economic reform and global cooperation ahead of the WEF Annual Meeting 2027.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul met with Maroun Kairouz, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF), at Government House on July 6, 2026. During the meeting, the WEF Managing Director invited the Prime Minister to attend the WEF Annual Meeting 2027. ​Both parties discussed global economic trends and future development. The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to national reform and attracting investment in emerging industries. Key initiatives include streamlining regulations, strengthening governance, and pursuing OECD membership to raise economic standards and enhance Thailand’s long-term competitiveness.



​The Prime Minister stated that Thailand welcomes WEF’s recommendations on meeting formats and areas for greater participation.
