BANGKOK, Thailand – Ambassador William E. Grayson, Commissioner General of the U.S. Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, visited the “Thainess Power” exhibition hosted by Thailand’s Public Relations Department (PRD) at the Thailand Pavilion in Osaka, Japan.

During the visit, Ambassador Grayson participated in the AI Photo Booth activity, where he virtually tried on traditional Thai attire with a backdrop of Thai architecture and received a commemorative photo. He also explored the exhibition’s highlights, which showcase Thailand’s soft power across various dimensions such as art, food, music, and festivals. This includes games to win giveaways and community-made souvenirs.

The visit also included a discussion on communication strategies, with a focus on the PRD’s efforts to share credible and accessible information through the website www.thailand.go.th. Serving as a multilingual gateway to Thailand—available in Thai, English, German, Japanese, and Chinese—the platform offers accurate insights for tourists, investors, and international audiences. The United States currently ranks as the second-largest visitor group to the site, following Japan.

Ambassador Grayson commended the PRD’s contribution to Expo 2025, noting that it not only highlights Thailand’s position as a center of creative culture, but also expands the country’s reach and visibility on the international stage.

The “Thainess Power” exhibition is open from 1-16 September 2025, at the temporary exhibition zone located behind the Thailand Pavilion. (NNT)
