The Ornamental Plants and Fishes Festival to be held on 5-28 Jun near Govt House


BANGKOK, 21 May 2015 – The government is to organize “the Ornamental Plants and Fishes Frstival” from 5-28 June 2015 at Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem Market next to the Government House.

Deputy Director-General of the Fisheries Department Juadee Pongmaneerat said that the festival will be held under the theme “Creative Aquarium Worth Your Time”.

“The festival will offer a wide range of ornamental fish aquarium arrangements that are easy and convenient for urban lifestyle. Fish lovers will find all kinds of equipment for salted and freshwater aquarium arrangement directly from suppliers,” said Ms.Juadee.

Highlights of the event are the display and sale of expensive and rare ornamental fishes including Albino Pearl Ray, Black Diamond, and Jumbo fishes such as Platinum which was developed by Thai breeder. Prices range from a hundred thousand to 7-digit sums.

Also exhibited at the festival will be “Ornamental Plants for Urban Lifestyle”. Director-General of the Department of Agriculture Extension Olan Pituck said that it provides urban residents with a variety of quality plants such as plants for absorbing toxins in building as well as blooming cold-climate plants.

Moreover, the Department also provides demonstrations and training in flower arrangement and gardening in house and condominium by experienced professionals. The trainings are open to all who are just interested.
