BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Supamas Isarabhakdi has directed the Public Relations Department (PRD) to provide ongoing, verified updates on the Khlong Thom Center fire. She also cautioned the public about fake donation pages, fraudulent accounts, and misinformation.


The Minister emphasized that PRD outlets, including NBT2HD, must serve as reliable sources of information and prioritize data confirmed by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Ministry of Interior. She urged the public to verify donation requests and bank accounts before transferring funds, noting that scammers often exploit crises with recycled images or unverified reports. She also asked media platforms to report responsibly, avoid speculation about the fire’s cause, and respect the privacy of the injured.

​Minister Supamas instructed the Public Relations Department to centralize and share all information on assistance to streamline recovery efforts. Affected individuals can register for initial assistance at the Pom Prap Sattru Phai District Office or call 0 2282 4902 for inquiries. The Minister also commended all frontline responders for their dedication and wished a swift recovery to the injured victims and personnel. (NNT)
