
BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister of Labor Julapun Amornvivat opened the OSH Avenue International Conference 2026, calling for the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and advanced technology to improve workplace safety for all labor groups. The event, themed on building a sustainable safety culture, was organized by the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health at True Digital Park in Bangkok. The Minister highlighted that workplace safety is essential not only for accident prevention but also for sustainable economic and organizational growth. The Ministry of Labor is prioritizing ESG frameworks, with a focus on worker well-being and transparent risk management.
The Minister stated that technology should be used for both productivity and proactive risk prevention. He affirmed the ministry’s strong support for deploying artificial intelligence, robotics, and automated systems to detect hazards and monitor unsafe conditions. By using data analytics, organizations can implement precise preventive measures and ensure that technology is accessible across all employment sectors. The Minister emphasized that these initiatives aim to ensure every worker, including those in industrial, agricultural, corporate, informal, and migrant sectors, has a safe workplace, a high quality of life, and returns home safely each day.
