Thailand to host ASEM high-level meeting on marine sustainability

Bangkok – Thailand, as a member of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), will host a ASEM high-level meeting on marine sustainability on March 7th and 8th, 2019, at Centara Grand at CentralWorld, Bangkok.

The opening ceremony of the meeting will be presided over by the Foreign Affairs Minister, Don Pramudwinai.

The meeting will provide a platform for participants from Asia, Europe, international organizations and other relevant agencies to exchange knowledge and best practices on the promotion of marine sustainability to contribute to the attainment of Goal 14 (Life Below Water) of the United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.

The meeting will also be held in accordance with the pledge delivered by Prime Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, during the 12th ASEM Summit on October 18th and 19th, 2018, in Brussels, Belgium.
