Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul heads to Cebu for the ASEAN Summit, aiming to push Thailand’s strategic agenda and strengthen its role amid rising global uncertainty.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul is scheduled to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit in the Philippines from May 7 to 9, to promote the “Beyond Thailand” policy and enhance Thailand’s strategic role in the region.

​The Prime Minister will travel to Cebu, Republic of the Philippines, to join ASEAN leaders for the summit. The visit will support high-level discussions on global developments and strengthen regional cooperation. He will also reaffirm Thailand’s commitment as a constructive ASEAN partner.

​As the main annual leadership meeting in the first half of the year, the summit is reserved for ASEAN member states and the chair’s guests. Prime Minister Anutin will use this platform to promote practical cooperation and safeguard Thailand’s national interests amid a volatile global landscape marked by geopolitical, economic, and security challenges.
