BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa met with U.S. Ambassador to Thailand H.E. Mr. Robert F. Godec to discuss the ongoing situation along the Thailand–Cambodia border.

During their discussion, the Foreign Minister provided an update on the latest developments following the recently agreed ceasefire. He emphasized Thailand’s firm commitment to ending violence and resolving the conflict peacefully through established bilateral mechanisms.

The two sides exchanged views on regional stability, with the Thai Minister stressing the importance of restoring normalcy and avoiding further loss of life. The meeting underscored the continued support of the United States for dialogue and diplomacy in addressing tensions in Southeast Asia. (NNT)
