BANGKOK, Thailand – The government has invited the public to participate in commemorative events honoring Her Majesty Queen Rambai Barni, Queen Consort of King Rama VII, on the 100th anniversary of the international recognition of her royal contributions. The observance pays tribute to her legacy and enduring contributions to Thai society. Buddhist prayer sessions and alms-giving ceremonies were held this morning (May 22) at Wat Ratchabophit, with 100 monks participating. Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Thongsri presided over the ceremony on behalf of the prime minister. Similar ceremonies are taking place at provincial halls and other venues nationwide, while Thai embassies and consulates abroad are holding commemorative activities.
