BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Piyarat Tiyapairat has ordered legal action against a durian processing facility in Tha Mai district, Chanthaburi province, after authorities found it operating illegally despite its suspended license and producing without authorization. An inspection found more than 35,000 packaging boxes and around 50,000 kilograms of durians already packed for distribution. Authorities also seized three containers of fresh durians, with a combined value exceeding 10 million baht.

Legal proceedings are being prepared against all parties involved, including the company, the landowner, and those using the premises for production, under the Agricultural Standards Act of 2008.
