Thailand and Laos have committed to maintaining both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Lao Foreign Affairs Minister Saleumxay Kommasith met with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha Wednesday at Government House during his official visit to Thailand.

The premier expressed his confidence that the new Lao foreign minister will play an important role in enhancing the dynamics of the relationship between Thailand and Laos.

The Lao foreign minister extended blessings and greetings from Lao Prime Minister Thonglun Sisulid to his Thai counterpart and congratulated him on the results of last Sunday’s charter referendum.

Mr. Saleumxay expressed his admiration for the Thai government’s policy and confirmed the Lao government’s support for Thai reforms in accordance with the Roadmap.

He said that Thailand’s peace and prosperity are critical to promote the Thai-Lao relationship.
