BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) advises the public to rely on official sources, as rainfall is expected to ease in many areas on September 27, 2026. Authorities will continue to monitor weather and flood conditions. On September 26, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul directed MDES to monitor and verify information on heavy rain and flooding and coordinate the dissemination of accurate updates.
Minister of Digital Economy and Society Chaichanok Chidchob also instructed the ministry and the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) to maintain close weather monitoring. The ministry reports that rainfall will continue on September 27, but overall precipitation in many areas is expected to decrease compared to the previous day.
MDES also cautioned against misleading weather information that could cause unnecessary public concern. For major weather systems such as tropical storms, the TMD provides advance warnings. The TMD continuously monitors localized rainfall and updates forecasts every six hours. The ministry has directed its agencies to remain prepared to support communities if flooding worsens and urges the public to rely on official information.
