Thailand & China hold talks on railroad development

BANGKOK, 13 September 2015  – Thai and Chinese officials held the 7th Thailand – China railroad development conference to proceed forward with both nations’ cooperation. 

The Ministry of Transport has hosted the 7th Thailand – China railroad development conference on 11-12 September 2015, led by the Thai Minister of Transport Arkhom Termpittayapaisith and the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) Deputy Secretary-General Wang Xiaotao.

Both leaders signed an endorsement the meeting’s minutes, while the Thai Minister of Transport has revealed that both countries have made mutual conclusions on many subjects, such as the feasibility study for the Bangkok – Kaeng Koi – Nakhon Ratchasima sections.

Meanwhile, the study for the Nakhon Ratchasima – Nong Khai and Kaeng Koi – Mabtaphut sections are now being implemented, with an expected completion in November.

The next conference is scheduled for 27-28 October 2015 in Beijing, China.
