ROI ET, Thailand – A 22-year-old woman from Roi Et has drawn attention online after an aerobics exercise video she posted on Facebook prompted another user to demand that she remove it because the woman’s boyfriend was watching her clips. The Facebook user, identified as Supharat Sae-lim, known online as “Patty,” had posted a video of herself doing her usual aerobics workout. She later received a comment from another woman asking her to delete the video.
The commenter said her boyfriend watched Patty’s videos and objected to the way she dressed and danced. She also claimed the video made Roi Et look bad and warned that she would report Patty under Thailand’s Computer Crime Act if it was not removed. The comment questioned whether Patty was exercising or trying to attract men, adding that aerobics should be different from dancing in a nightclub.
The demand quickly drew attention from other social-media users, many of whom questioned why Patty should have to remove a video of herself exercising in a public place. Some commenters argued that if the woman was concerned about her boyfriend watching the videos, she should address the issue with him rather than asking someone else to stop posting exercise content. The incident has since sparked discussion online about social-media boundaries, personal responsibility and the freedom to post ordinary activities filmed in public spaces.
